In Conversation: Philip Clements Samuelraj on Boldly Building with AI
In a world where artificial intelligence is reshaping everything, from support systems to software development, the question isn’t just who’s building AI—but who’s building it better, faster, and more responsibly.
At Techjays, Founder and CEO Philip Clements Samuelraj is leading a global team that’s doing just that. With nearly two decades in tech—including influential positions at Google, Vivint, and Cognizant—Philip brings deep technical experience and a sharp execution mindset to the table. Under his leadership, Techjays isn’t just helping organisations adopt AI; it’s helping them build with it, scale it, and do so ethically.
In this conversation, Philip shares his journey, the principles behind Techjays’ growth, and why building exceptional teams is just as important as building transformative products.
When did you first realise AI was the key to redefining technology, and how did that shape Techjays’ journey?
In my time at Google, I saw early on that AI could connect human potential with technology’s possibilities. At Techjays, we approach AI as a mindset, not just a tool. We build AI, and we build with AI. Our AI solutions help businesses move faster and with greater confidence in today’s tech landscape.
In a crowded AI space, what sets Techjays apart?
We create AI that solves real business problems with precision. Productionising AI is our strength, and we’re among the 0.1% of companies that claim to build AI but can actually deliver on it. Our solutions are built for measurable impact and efficiency. What truly differentiates us is our focus on execution and putting customers first. We’ve grown through happy clients referring us to new clients, and our work speaks for itself.
Can you tell us more about Jetrix? What inspired its development?
Jetrix is the command centre for the entire software development lifecycle. We are reimagining the software development lifecycle with AI and exploring how we can bypass isomorphism if AI is embedded in every aspect, from requirements to deployment. Jetrix will change how software gets built—making it faster and smarter.
When businesses seek AI integration, what are their primary demands?
Businesses want to solve problems faster and at a lower cost. They need more than automation; they want intelligence that drives decisions—AI that adapts, learns, and fits seamlessly into their workflows. There’s a shift towards solutions that enhance human capabilities rather than just replacing tasks. Companies want context-aware AI that helps them scale and innovate. Our work with companies like Arkose Labs, ViaAnalytics, Cowboy Logistics, and MidAlloy demonstrates this real-world impact.
How does Techjays ensure its solutions enhance efficiency while benefiting both businesses and the workforce?
We design AI as an enabler. As I mentioned earlier, we not only build AI but build with AI. If AI can handle repetitive tasks, leaving the strategic and more interesting work to humans, it makes things easier and more engaging for the workforce.
How is Techjays integrating AI into cybersecurity?
As cyber threats evolve, defence mechanisms must adapt. We’re using AI to detect, prevent, and respond to threats in real time. Our models analyse patterns, identify anomalies, and predict vulnerabilities before they’re exploited. Our work with Arkose Labs on security CAPTCHA generation demonstrates our effective approach.
How was AI perceived before the ChatGPT era, and how did that influence your approach?
Before ChatGPT, AI was seen as narrowly focused—mostly rule-based automation with limited adaptability. At Google, in the Support Intelligence team, AI was just beginning to move beyond scripted logic towards generative AI. That experience shaped Techjays’ vision for dynamic, context-aware AI that truly assists businesses in ways previously impossible.
How does Techjays navigate compliance across different regulatory regions?
We design with privacy, security, and ethics at the core. European regulations set a high standard that we embrace. We build frameworks that adapt to various compliance needs, whether it’s GDPR in Europe, CCPA in the US, or India’s DPDP Act. Our BFSI clients in Europe and the Middle East validate our ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Where do you believe AI integration crosses ethical lines, and how do you ensure responsible AI?
AI crosses ethical lines when it compromises privacy, fairness, or accountability. At Techjays, we take a responsible-first approach. We build for transparency, test rigorously for bias, prioritise explainability, and maintain human oversight where needed. Our solutions enhance trust, protect data, and align with ethical standards.
What innovations is your team currently working on?
Our R&D is centred on Jetrix and advancing AI for contact centres, data annotation, content moderation, and cybersecurity. We’re making significant progress in generative AI for intelligent software development by improving code generation, testing, and deployment. We’re also expanding our partnerships with GCP, AWS, and ServiceNow to strengthen our position in the AI ecosystem.
How do you see AI shaping the global tech ecosystem over the next five years?
AI is shifting from automation to assistants to AI that solves complex problems for humans. We fully believe in the Anthropic position on AI’s evolution over the next five years. The companies embracing AI now will define technology’s next era.
What’s your biggest dream for Techjays?
I’m building Techjays to be a great company—a platform where people can become the best version of themselves and help define technology’s next era. I measure success by the opportunities we create for our team, the products we build for the world, and the industries we transform. The sky is the limit, and that’s the legacy that matters to me.
